Keeping Levi’s Spirit Alive.
Levi Anthony Slovak was taken too soon from this earth. In our grief we keep his spirit alive by supporting our communities through the efforts of the foundation that bears his name: Levi’s Pennies From Heaven.
His love of buying and restoring old trucks is the inspiration for our Annual Truck & Car Show that raises funds to give back to the community. Join us in keeping his memory and spirit alive by donating, sponsoring, or attending our show.
What does the foundation’s name mean?
The name Levi’s Pennies From Heaven comes from a heartening story.
Almost immediately after Levi died, many family and friends reported finding pennies in the most odd and unusual places. Pennies started popping up everywhere, often on significant dates.
An anonymous person sent a poem that captured exactly what we were experiencing. From that point forward, every time we found a penny, we started calling them Levi’s pennies from heaven and considered it Levi’s way of letting us know he was near, and misses us as much as we miss him. A collection of these moments are stored in a special jar filled with pennies from heaven.
It seemed natural and fitting to name our foundation Levi’s Pennies From Heaven.
